
Matt is our Employer Engagement Officer supporting Local Skills Improvement Plans across the Berkshire and Oxfordshire region. His role is to work closely with colleges, sector boards, employers, and wider partners to strengthen relationships and gather the insights needed to shape, implement, and continuously update skills strategies that genuinely respond to businesses and industry needs in our regions.
His background spans over 20 years in apprenticeships, employer partnerships, and business development, working across FE groups, training providers, and large-scale employer engagement projects. Specialise in building high-impact employer pipelines, developing sector-focused engagement plans, and helping providers grow apprenticeships, T-Levels, internships, and commercial programmes.
A respected voice in his field, Matt serves on several prestigious sector advisory boards, including the London Regional Construction Training Group, the CITB Training Group, the Cross-Industry Construction Apprenticeship Task Force, Tech Skills and The 5% Club.
He is also a proactive member of a number of network groups, including the local chambers and an Ambassador for the London Chamber of Commerce (LCCI).
Beyond his professional achievements, Matt is deeply committed to community engagement, serving as a Governor at West Malling Church of England Primary School, Chair of a local Sports Club, and a dad to a 8-year-old young lady. (His biggest achievement).
